Oregon Farm Hand provides temporary or long-term help on your Oregon farm, homestead, or ranch. An avid outdoorsman, I am an easy-goin’ hard worker who takes every task seriously but likes to live life one laugh at a time. Based just south of Eugene, I am centrally located and primarily serve Lane County, but I can cover all of Oregon for the right projects. There are no jobs too big or too small for Oregon Farm Hand. Who is Oregon Farm Hand?
Hi, friends! My name is Jack Riordan. I am a 47 year old father of two students at the University of Oregon, and a happliy married husband of 26 years. I spent close to 30 years in construction, then semi-retired in 2018 when I launched a successful grassroots marketing company, helping my friends build their businesses.
I have always been an avid outdoorsman—I enjoy fishing, hiking, camping, and exploring all that Oregon has to offer. I love animals of all types and have two dogs, two cats, and a tortoise of our own here at home in South Eugene.
I have been farm and ranch sitting for several years for local friends and I realized that there could be a real need for the skills and reliability that I bring to each project or obligation and so Oregon Farm Hand was born!

I live in Lane County, just south of Eugene, and yes I can service all of Oregon.

Labor rates vary depending on location, scope of the project, etc. A free and easy consultation on your property can answer this question and more!

For overnight or multiple night stays I have a fully enclosed truck camper that does not require access to water or electricity. Just a relatively flat place to park!

Safety always comes first, no matter what the task or objective. I am alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free and utilize critical thinking skills to avoid injuries or property damage. I show up with eye, ear, and hand protection.

Basic administration of meds is a possibility and is a service I have offered to past clients.

I do have a variety of tools including, but not limited to: A push mower, a riding mower, a brush hog style weed wacker, chainsaw, backpack leaf blower, various power tools (skilsaw, sawzall, driver, etc), gardening / yard tools, a pressure washer, a paint sprayer & various painting tools, ladders, and a longbed Chevy 3500HD that can tow or haul just about anything.
